A while back we visited Bill Jacobi’s hillside studio to video and photograph some promo footage and stills for
Method. (That’s Bill on acoustic guitar and Frank Corby on the drums.) Bill will be putting the video together himself, so that will be another blog when its done. But here are a few of the stills from the day. If you’d like to check out their music - highly recommend you do - here’s a link to another
video.

We were engaged the other day to do some promotional shots for Andrew Baxter. As well as being a good-looking guy he is a fantastic blues musician as well as the organiser of some amazing Blues concerts including one at Stokers Siding yesterday: Here is an
Echo article about him.

Ayesha Gough is a very talented young pianist from Murwillumbah. we recently did this photo shoot for her, to create images to promote her upcoming concert “Chrysalis” and other performances. Here is the resulting poster, beautifully designed by Hetti McDonald. (Plus a few other of our favourites from the day.) For more on local classical music events, have a look at the
Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music site. The festival is coming up in September.

Late last year we had the great buzz of working with Deya on images for a remix album that is coming out soon. So we couldn’t show you any of the images until now. We had a great few hours and lots of laughs - unfortunately we can’t show you some of the wilder shots! For more info just go to

Such a rich and full weekend of stunning performances, wonderful and friendly people as well as a visual feast! We were kept very busy trying to photograph every “nook and cranny” of the festival, as the piano tuner, Norman Appel, described it. As well, we were recording video and audio for the festival organisers, who should be congratulated for all their hard work and an amazing festival. Here are some of our favourite images - hundreds more can be viewed at the Client Galleries section of our website.
Tatiana Kolesova, the young Russian pianist with such a beautiful soul, was the headline act:

Some of the young virtuosi: Raphael Ebermann, Alison McKenzie, Ayesha Gough and Julien Rosendahl

Norman Appel, the piano and harpsichord tuner. Tania Frazer, who has been the principal oboe for Israel Opera and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Katherine Philp and her beautiful cello

Gareth Belling of the Queensland Ballet

David Pereira, who was kindly standing in with the Australia Ensemble @ UNSW for the festival. We hope he’ll be back next year!

Noel Stallard and Jack Drake, two of the very entertaining bush poets, as part of a fringe event held at the St. Johns Anglican Church

Two images of the Queensland Conservatorium Brass Ensemble

The Camerata of St. Johns gave us an exhilarating concert as well as some of our favourite images. To see more, please go to the client gallery section of this website
- hope you can get a taste of what this fantastic festival gave to all of us.

Another great night down at the beautiful timber-lined Uki Anglican church. We had never heard or photographed Jerome before. He is an amazing guitarist and only 19! Ivy was a fantastic entertainer once again. Alan caught this great shot of Loren, just before his set. The audience was extremely moved by the emotional range of his songs.

Although we have taken many photos of musicians over the years, not many have been of classically trained musicians. So we were delighted to have the opportunity to photography the flautist Carmelia MacWilliam, using our garden and our section of Smiths Creek as the backdrop. We are also the official photographers for the Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music which will run for the 3rd to the 5th of September this year. What a chance to be immersed in great music at the same time as exploring all the visual possibilities.
