Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music

Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music 2012

Here we are again, an other fantastic Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music. This year it was also a celebration of this festival turning 21and what a great festival it was, packed with amazingly talented world class artists and musicians. The hills were definitely alive with the sound of music, fun and frivolity. It was great for us to catch up with some of the wonderful people that we have met on previous years and some new ones this year. It always strikes me how humble and down to earth most of these high profile musicians are. There was also a fashion parade with original designs by Emma Chandra. One of my favourites was Pastance, the beautiful harmonies with their Medieval, Baroque and even Renaissance pieces.

Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music 2011

This years festival was a fabulous event - many people said it was the best ever! We had the pleasure of being their official photographers again. Musical highlights for us were performances by Ben Austin (one of the young virtuosi) the Cello Orchestra and of course the Camerata of St. Johns including the amazing world premiere of Tyalgum Dawn, a piece composed by Ann Carr-Boyd as a commission for this 20th Anniversary of the Festival. Kacey Patricks improvised voice solo still brings tears to our eyes. And here are some of our favourite photos from the weekend. If you’d like to see more go to our client galleries.
